The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM), founded in 1927 by
Sir Sydney Nicholson, organist of Westminster Abbey, raises standards in church music with
courses and publications for organists, choirs and choir trainers. Voluntary committees like ours organise local events, and RSCM headquarters runs national ones.
NB: The RSCM is the Church of England's music arm, but also welcomes musicians of other denominations.
